How to make your own screensavers.

Do you want to make your own screensavers?

Well here is how you can do just that.

Simply download one of tees software programs.

Screensaver Wonder (Get now)

Screensaver Wonder is a screensaver software for personal, non-commercial use only. It includes essential features and allows creating non-commercial screensavers.

Screensaver Factory (Get now)

Screensaver Factory is a much more powerful screensaver software designed for professional and commercial use. It can be used for creating advanced screensavers, marketing, brand advertising and for creating screensavers for sale. Also has an added feature that lets you add a clock, calenders and or RSS feeds to your screensavers.

For "Screensaver Factory" users.
If you want to add your own custom clocks and calendar you can do-so.

This is not an official feature, but if you're an advanced user and you like to experiment, you can do it like this:
On your Windows PC. go to the C:\Program Files than go to the "Screensaver Factory" folder, than go to the "data" folder than go to either the "clocks" folder or the "calendars" folder.

Here is an example path: C:\Program Files\Screensaver Factory 6\data\clocks

You will see folders like: 01, 02, 03, ... - just choose one to replace with your own design. Edit calendar.ini and sfclock.ini and replace png files. Note though that only 32-bit PNG images are properly supported. And for the images of the clocks and clock hands they needs to be 700px by 700px.

Or if you want you can create a new folder and name it what you want to.
Doing this will let you add new clocks and calendars to the selection list in the "Screensaver Factory" software program when you go to create your screensavers.
Note if you upgrade your "Screensaver Factory" software then your custom added clocks and calendars will most-likely get deleted, so you should bake-up the clock and calendar files you make so that you can re-add them after you install the new upgraded "Screensaver Factory" software.
For clocks: For the clocks you need to create a text file in the new folder and name the text file "sfclock.ini" and in the text file put this:
Click to edit table header
[Clock]
; Screensaver Factory calendar
; http://www.blumentals.net
Name=Put the name of the clock here

[Image]
Face=face.png
Sec=hand1-sek.png
Min=hand2-min.png
Hour=hand3-h.png
than save the text file.

Now you need to create the images.
Note though that only 32-bit PNG images are properly supported.
And for the images of the clocks and clock hands they needs to be 700px by 700px.

The images need to go in the new folder you created.
The image names need to be:
Clock: face.png
Clock second hand: hand1-sek.png You don't have to have a seconds hand if you don't want to.
Clock minute hand: hand2-min.png
Clock hour hand: hand3-h.png
Here is some clocks I made that you can download and use:  Click Here / or view in the Photo Gallery
For calendars: For the calendars you need to create a text file in the new folder and name the text file "calendar.ini" and in the text file put this:
Click to edit table header
To make things easier, go to one of the existing calendar folders and copy the file named "calendar.ini" and past the file in the new calendars folder you made.
Note the codes in the "calendar.ini" files are a little different to compensate for the different calendar images. This means you may need to edit the codes to compensate for the new calendar image you use.
Now you need to create the calendar image.
Note though that only 32-bit PNG images are properly supported.
And for the image of the calendar it needs to be about 700px to 800px in width and height.

The image needs to go in the new folder you created.
The image name needs to be: face.png
And again you may need to edit the coding in the "calendar.ini" file to compensate for the placement of the date's on the new calendar image.
